Monoprints

Monoprints are prints where there is a fixed matrix. This means that multiple similar artworks can be made, but no two will be exactly alike.

Numbering prints of this nature is tricky.
In most cases, I have chosen to number mine ''e.v. # / #,''
meaning ''edition variable, number # out of #.''

This fantastical bird originated as a doodle. I did a line and aquatint etching
and added gold specked chine colle. I printed an edition variable of twenty
and two additional artist's proofs.
